Every year for the past 5 years we have so graciously been welcomed onto a trip to Mammoth with some of our greatest friends. It always ends up being the trip I look forward to most every year. 

The change of scenery and climate is incredible and of course speaks to my east coast winter childhood nostalgia. The road trip is always fun. I love being reminded how diverse the geography of California is. 

Above everything else though, the reason why I look forward to it so much is the company. These are some of the people in our lives that we feel so connected to. The people we seek advice from, get weird and laugh with, encourage us, go on adventures with, and share a deep affection for coffee and beer. Every year has been a different group of people with a baseline of the same recurring few people, but every trip has been so life-giving. 

Yeah, new places and cities and countries are cool, but my heart soars when I get quality time with my favorite people. I would rather take 1,000 trips to the same city with my dearest friends than visit countless different cities alone. 

This most recent trip I took some family photos with Emily, Alec, and Remi and yes they are the cutest family on the planet. 
So, here’s a shout out to some of my favorite souls on this planet and convenient timing with little Rem turning ONE this weekend!
