The Perfect Send-off

The van is ready to go and Lindsey and Gunnar are well on their way up the coast, but let's just take a moment to rewind to this wedding. 

Lindsey and Gunnar have been planning this epic journey for some time now. I talked about it a little bit in their engagement shoot (and we took photos in their van/home). These two love birds transformed a van into a home on wheels and have set off to explore this beautiful world we live in. #yearlonghoneymoon
They had planned their wedding to be the ultimate send-off for them to embark on this journey. Friends and family gathered, drinking, eating, dancing, and taking pictures together before they left San Diego for a year of travel. What a perfect way to celebrate (and say bon voyage!)
 

Pulling up onto the property you are greeted by majestic lion statues and a long brick driveway followed by the dreamiest brick and cobblestone houses. The grounds were equally as beautiful with a wide open area for a reception, monumental palms, and a vineyard that surrounds everywhere you look.

The girls were getting ready in the perfect little on site salon + the guys had the groom's lair (but also sneaked a dip in the pool).

The day was a whirlwind of emotion and yep you guessed it - waterworks for the first look! That double tear wipe might be one of my favorite shots of the day. 

I'm nestling this day sweetly in my memory bank. The venue, the flowers, the people, the whole story - it was all so perfect. There was even a grandmother leading a conga line! I'm not sure I would want to be sent off any other way than that.  So much fun celebrating these two!

You're married and living the dream! I wish you both so much love, happiness, and a lifetime full of adventure. Have the best time ever traveling in that cool van of yours and take lots of pictures (duh!)
