Modern Romance Jungle Bridal Styled Shoot || San Diego, CA

I don't know how the weather is treating you from where you are reading this, but it's mid July here in San Diego and summer is well underway. The temperatures are rising (both air and water), the beaches are crowded, ice cream shops have lines spilling out the doors, and summer weddings are in full force. Summer always reminds me of tropical and jungle vibes. Some people think desert - but my mind wanders to tree covered rain forests, exotic palms, and waterfalls. Being an east coast raised girl I've always been more partial to humid, lush, green environments. 

For a long time now, I have been dreaming of doing a moody, modern, jungle themed shoot. I am a big lover of greenery (and weddings of course) and I had a vision that finally came to life in this recent styled shoot with some local San Diego dream team vendors.

This styled shoot was a complete collaboration dreamed up and executed by the incredible vendors (see below for all the details). It started with a love for all things plants and a vision to bring that love on a bigger scale to what turned out to be a modern, romantic, jungle styled shoot. We wanted to pull together the perfect details to make you feel like you were smack dab in the middle of the jungle, no matter how far you are from living in those tropical vibes. Tucked away in a bit of an industrial part of southern California is this little oasis, a brewery and event space called The Woodshed Venue at Booze Brothers. (See more fun from this event space) The venue was absolutely perfect bringing this vision to life with their drool-worthy, brand new remodel and the installation of their floor to ceiling plant wall (wondering if I can convince my husband that we need one in our house).

We added bits of modern flare with the furniture, tablescape and palm frond aisle and some elegant touches with the floral design, cakes and the Atocha lace gown from Elle Bridal Boutique. All the palms were foraged around the city of San Diego to tie together the jungle details. If you're a bride who thrives on greenery and is a little edgy with a touch of romance, you just may fall in love with these details. This shoot is perfect inspiration for a moody, summer style wedding with a major jungle crush. #swoonworthy
